Learning objectives:

  1. Attendees will understand how ethical principles may differ among individuals
  2. Know the four cornerstones of healthcare professional ethics principles and how they relate to the elderly population
  3. Attendees will better understand the role of the health care professional’s duty to respect patient autonomy
  4. Attendees will be able to define health care professional’s responsibility to maintain beneficence at all times
  5. Attendees will be able to define nonmaleficence as it relates to beneficence
  6. Attendees will be able to explain how justice relates to healthcare and the elderly

 

About the Presenters

Holly Conway-Eaton

Holly has been with Senior Home Companions for over 10 years, three of those as a caregiver and seven as a business development manager.  Holly worked for 17 years in the pharmaceutical industry and about one year in hospice.  She grew up in Indiana and graduated from Ball State University with a degree in marketing.  Holly has three children – two daughters who are 29 and 26, and a son who is 18.  She also has a 7-year-old granddaughter who inspires her to stay fit and healthy!  Holly has a passion for assisting seniors and their families by connecting them with resources that help them live their fullest, most satisfying lives possible.

 

 

Kristi Medley

Kristi is a Business Development Coordinator with SHC and has been with the company a little over a year. Prior to working at SHC, she has been working in the sales and marketing field for the last 16 years, since graduating from Indiana University. Kristi has been married 16 years and has three wonderful children ages 7-14.
