Learning objectives:
- Attendees will understand and be able to discuss the organ donation process.
- Attendees will be able to describe the different types of organ donation procedures.
- Attendees will be able to describe the role RNs, LCSWs, and Case Management Professionals have with regard to addressing the psychosocial needs of organ donor families and organ recipients.

About the Presenter
Robert Horsey
Robert is a critical care registered nurse who has spent most of his 22-year career in the field of Organ Donation and Transplantation. He has held the positions of Organ Recovery Coordinator in both St. Louis, MO and Indianapolis, IN. He has also worked on the recipient side of the process for St. Vincent Heart Transplant and Indiana University Liver Transplant program. He has held national certification as a Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) and a Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) as awarded by the American Board for Transplant Certification. Robert received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (cum laude honors) from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Robert is the author of a novel entitled, GIFTED. A fictional story of organ donation told uniquely from the perspective of the organ donor family. GIFTED is his first novel.
