Learning objectives:
- To provide an overview of the new Medicare A payment model called Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM).
- To understand the 5 components used to determine the variable daily payment rate and the key reimbursement drivers of each.
- To identify the resident medical information needed from the hospital during the admission process.

About the Presenter
Lynn Lopossa
Lynn is an occupational therapist who specializes in geriatric rehabilitation and dementia intervention. She has practiced in LTC for 28 years in various roles and has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Indianapolis. She is currently the Director of LifeSpan Health Services and oversees the therapy operations, clinical programming, and MDS process for all CarDon campuses. She is a frequent guest lecturer for Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and the University of Indianapolis for the graduate occupational therapy programs teaching topics including Dementia Intervention, Medicare Documentation, and Medicare/Medicaid coverage in LTC. She has published two research articles in the Journal of Physical and Occupational Therapy in Geriatrics
