Learning objectives:
- Master the Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCi) policy structure and help patients recognize which benefits they qualify for.
- Know how to instruct patients who have LTCi policies so that they can access benefits
- Understand the VA Aid and Attendance Benefit qualification and application process to educate veterans on how to better access their benefits.
About the Presenter
Belinda Schluchter
Belinda and her husband, Kevin, are the owners of Amada Senior Care of Central Indiana serving the greater Indianapolis area. They share a passion for ensuring the highest quality of life and in-home care for seniors. Amada Senior Care of Central Indiana goes beyond what other agencies provide by helping clients and their families understand the many resources and options available to help pay for senior care. Their goal is to walk with seniors and their loved ones through every step of their senior care journey.
Belinda obtained her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from North Dakota State University (NDSU) in 2000 and was employed in multiple roles at Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) from 2001-2019. During her tenure at Lilly, she obtained the following certifications: LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt certification (2016); Executive Business Certification (ECBLS) through the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University (2009) and Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) through the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (2005). Prior to joining Lilly, she obtained hands-on clinical experience as a Clinical Registered Dietitian (RD) in clinic, hospital and long-term care settings after completing her B.S. degree in Food and Nutrition at NDSU in 1989
