About the Presenter

Marci Bennett has been a nurse for the past 43 years at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. Her nursing career has lead her from staff nurse in the medical/surgical ICU to Director of Healthcare Quality and Case Management to her current position as Director of Patient Care Services with oversight of Cardiovascular Services and the PeriOperative Services. Along her career path, she was the first clinical educator for ICU, developed an acute dialysis program, a renal/pulmonary ICU, was the first quality manager for the medicine service line, and development of the hospital’s physician-based case management program.

Ms. Bennett’s current affiliations include, American College of Cardiology, National Association of Healthcare Quality where she is board certified in healthcare quality, American Association of Critical Care Nurses where she is an alumnus CCRN, and the American Association of Nurse Executives. In addition, Ms. Bennett is board certified as a nurse executive by the ANCC.

Ms. Bennett graduated with her master’s degree in health administration from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois in 2006, and Indiana University with her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1988 and her LPN degree in 1975 from the School of Practical Nursing, Indianapolis. She also is an independent legal nurse consultant and completed the legal nurse consultant certification program at Indiana University in 2002.

*This program has been pre-approved by The Commission for Case Manager Certification to provide continuing education credit to CCM® board certified case managers.  The course is approved for one CE contact hour.


*CCMC Ethics credit is approved for this course. The CCMC Code of Professional Conduct will be referenced in this presentation.
